Amphatine has an easygoing nature and is very social, so it tries to stick by numerous other Pokémon. It can fire controlled bolts of lightning that keep its aquatic friends safe from most Water and Flying-type predator Pokémon.

On sunny days, schools of Amphatine can be seen elegantly leaping over the waves. It gives off so much light that it can be seen even from space.
