Auroterra are known to live on some of the snowiest mountains, allowing mountaineers to set up camps on their backs. It is believed that in ancient times, Mamoswine and Auroterra lived in similar habitats.
Small Pokémon occasionally gather on its unmoving back to begin building their nests. Using its diamond-shaped crystals, it can instantly create a wall of ice to block an opponent's attack.
