Bucada burrow deep beneath gardens to sleep among roots, letting people provide all the water and nutrients they need to grow. Once a Bucada is properly nourished, the bud on its head will bloom as it tunnels up out of the ground to evolve.

It makes its nest at the roots of a mighty tree. Over the winter, it closes its bud and endures the cold.
