Although still just as tough as its outer crystalline armor, the white minerals on Caron's body are actually not very hard. It isn't uncommon to see Caron with its chin resting on the cavern floor with other small POKEMON leaning on it, too.
When two Caron meet in the wild, they fight for territory by bashing into each other with their steel bodies. Born from the high temperatures and pressures deep underground, it defends itself by firing beams from the jewel part of its body.
