Cartad's fluffy pad is rough to the touch because of the thousands of tiny mineral bits stuck in it. Many yarn-spinning devices have been destroyed due to this fluff in the past, causing damage worth well into the thousands.

This Pokémon lives in ponds with clean water. Born from the high temperatures and pressures deep underground, it defends itself by firing beams from the jewel part of its body.
