Although the largest schools of Carkip are found within saltwater, some much smaller schools have been discovered in freshwater. They are quick and merciless predators who will swarm and assail prey with many vicious bites.

On land, it can powerfully lift large boulders by planting its four feet and heaving. Carkip attack ships in swarms, making them sink.
