The scales on Charmoth's wings contain heat-resistant toxins. When the scales are scattered over an enemy, the high temperature first burns the skin, allowing the toxin to enter the body more easily.
Charmoth are nocturnal--they only are active at night. The flame that burns at the tip of its tail is an indication of its emotions.
