The flames of Charplume actually purify the air, because most of the foul-smelling gases are burned up. If the flame goes out and is not relit in time, the odor emitted by Charplume will erupt into flames instead.
In seasons when it produces more pollen, the air around a Charplume turns yellow with the powder as it walks. The flame that burns at the tip of its tail is an indication of its emotions.
