Murals recovered from an archaeological dig in Hoenn depict Chimelithe shooting out their bell to defend their Trainers. This has been proven false, as Chimelithe instead channel their fire through the bell it holds in their mouths.

Its superb sense of smell ensures that this Pokémon won't forget any scent, no matter what. They fly about very actively when the hot season arrives.
