There are thousands of microscopic thorns present in the cotton Cottonaught wears. When threatened, it expels cotton all around it, creating a near-impenetrable dome. Touching it causes an itching sensation, similar to fiberglass.

Cottonaught's shell is soft but fragile, and gets sturdier but heavier in the rain. When attacked, it shoots its spikes and runs off.

Its Tackle is forceful enough to flip a 50-ton tank. They go wherever the wind takes them.
