While most Cradlix prefer to burrow into rocky the walls of deep sea caverns in the aphotic zone, a small number have adapted to hunt their prey by directly venturing out into trenches along the floor of the ocean.

Cradlix live even further underground than Onix. It drags its heavy body along the seafloor.
