Deirachi lacks a normal pair of eyes, causing it to float around aimlessly for much of its life. An eye on its stomach is said to open once every 5 years, and supposedly Deirachi will grant a wish to the first person it sees with said eye.

Deirachi is said to make wishes come true. They cannot see, so they tackle and bite to learn about their surroundings.
