Dhelper spend their lives floating along the bottom of the sea, rarely surfacing. Their bodies are covered in algae which they let other Pokémon nibble on to keep it from becoming overgrown. When sleeping, they drift far off course, waking confused.

Dhelper usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally. The soul of seaweed adrift in the waves became reborn as this Pokémon.
