Draffy's wool is highly buoyant, so it is common to see it floating around coastlines resting. Once a day, it sheds its woollen coat and dives down deep to scavenge, until its coat grows enough to drag it back to the surface.

Its fleece quality changes to generate strong static electricity with a small amount of wool. A Draffy continually molts and sloughs off its old skin.
