During the day, it hides itself in the trees with its silk and drinks rainwater. At night, it takes flight and devours the leaves before leaving to find another tree. Its wings and spikes shed toxic dust as it flies.

It prepares for evolution using the energy it stored while it was a Wurmple. It is a nocturnal Pokémon that flies from fields and mountains to the attraction of streetlights at night.
