Exeggutail use the ends of their tails to mimic weaker Pokémon and lure in prey; they then whip their target and clamp their jaws around them. Instances of Exeggutail that have reached the shallow waters of Alola are noticeably stronger than others.

To withstand the crushing water pressure deep under the sea, its spine is very thick and sturdy. Originally from the tropics, Exeggutail's heads grow larger from exposure to strong sunlight.
