The three heads of Exegguplume each have a sense of smell that's slightly different from the other two. This enables them to triangulate the location of other Exegguplume by sensing even minute traces of pollen in the air.
In seasons when it produces more pollen, the air around a Exegguplume turns yellow with the powder as it walks. Originally from the tropics, Exegguplume's heads grow larger from exposure to strong sunlight.
