Goluatone's purpose was once to guide lost travelers through the night, quietly leading them through ancient halls and temples. Even today, they're trained to help lead children who have gotten lost in forests and cities at night.
It becomes very active on the night of a full moon. It is said that Goluatone were ordered to protect people and Pokémon by the ancient people who made them.
