It is believed that Golulix were created by mankind to retrieve ores from deep underground. In the modern era, Golulix are used to excavate for mineshafts. These tunnels are typically left dilapidated by Polieye that are in search of gems.
Golulix live even further underground than Onix. It is said that Golulix were ordered to protect people and Pokémon by the ancient people who made them.
