While Gooper normally don't go on land during the day to hunt food, rain keeps their skin cool and moist, allowing them to stay out for longer. However, this causes them to overeat, with many barfing up goo after the hunting period is over.

Gooper sense their environment using the goo coating their gills. Oddly, the goo does not interfere with breathing. They spread a thin layer of slime around their waterside nests to act as an early warning system against predators.

Gooper usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally. It gets picked on because it's meek.
