Ho-ziken reveals itself to a Trainer pure of heart and will challenge them to a battle. If it deems the Trainer a worthy foe, it will bestow on them one of its feathers, said to give the holder an inextinguishable fighting spirit.

It learns martial arts that use punches and kicks. Its feathers--which glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light--are thought to bring joy.
