Ho-lade's blade-like feathers appear to change color when viewed from different angles. Ancient people believed it was a messenger of shifting seasons.

A master of courtesy and swordsmanship, it fights using extending swords on its elbows. Its feathers--which glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light--are thought to bring joy.
