Hootbuff are clumsy fliers, their tiny wings being ill-suited for flight. They angle themselves so that their rubbery head hits the ground first, using a special internal organ to orient themselves as they bounce back into the air.

Its soft and pliable body is very bouncy. It has an internal organ that senses the earth's rotation.
