Hormoth use their large wing-like fins to propel themselves through the water. They are slow swimmers and prefer to only emerge under the cover of darkness, shoals of them appearing to flutter through the shallows together.
Hormoth are nocturnal--they only are active at night. By cleverly flicking the fins on its back side to side, it moves in any direction while facing forward.
