Hypvern use their large talons to swing from thick tree branches when flying is not an option. Their large, patterned ears serve to intimidate foes and pulse in odd patterns when they screech.

They fly around on moonless nights and attack careless prey. The arcing movement and glitter of the pendulum in a Hypvern's hand lull the foe into deep hypnosis.
