Ivysea uses its flower bud to attract prey, then shoots water to stun them. If it accidentally attracts a large Pokémon, it will use a cloud of ink to cover itself and escape.
By cleverly flicking the fins on its back side to side, it moves in any direction while facing forward. To support its bulb, Ivysea's legs grow sturdy.
