A sweet-smelling yet highly poisonous nectar flows from the top of Ivyplume's head, which it uses to lure prey. Because of its underwhelming and clumsy movement, many of its prey are not afraid even when they realize Ivyplume is nearby.
In seasons when it produces more pollen, the air around a Ivyplume turns yellow with the powder as it walks. To support its bulb, Ivyplume's legs grow sturdy.
