The electrical current running through Jolrill's tail can be harmful to other Pokémon if touched, and therefore acts as a defensive mechanism. The actual tail, full of nutrients, has weak magnetic properties.
Its tail, which is packed with nutrition, is very bouncy like a rubber ball. They attach themselves to large-bodied Pokémon and absorb static electricity, which they store in an electric pouch.
