Kakzma sleeps near as many light sources as it can to get as much energy as possible for evolution. However, if it absorbs too much light at once and its shell becomes melting hot, it transforms with a burst of power rather than evolving.
Light is apparently the source of its energy. It remains virtually immobile while it clings to a tree.
