The spines along a Kingnat's back are highly toxic. Kingnat fight by striking back and forth with their claws before suddenly turning around, defending themselves by blocking any incoming attacks with their spikes.
Its coat of thin, stiff hair that covers its entire body is said to have evolved for protection. It waves its huge, oversized claw in the air to communicate with others.
