Krookoterra spend so much time waiting for prey in the sands that some Pokémon take residency on their backs during sandstorms. When Krookoterra's preferred prey wander too close, they clamp down on them with their strong jaws.
Small Pokémon occasionally gather on its unmoving back to begin building their nests. It can expand the focus of its eyes, enabling it to see objects in the far distance as if it were using binoculars.
