Even in the deepest and murkiest of waters, Lanpert's light is powerful enough to completely light the area. When danger approaches, it brightens up to alert other Pokémon to safety before using its immense strength to handle the threat itself.

If it senses the approach of a storm and a tidal wave, it protects its seaside nest by piling up boulders. The light-emitting orbs on its back are very bright.
