Lomplume are experts at camouflage, as the leafy pad on their head gets partially submerged when they hop into swampy water. The crimson flower in the middle of their lily pad is also poisonous, which limits the number of wild predators they have.
In seasons when it produces more pollen, the air around a Lomplume turns yellow with the powder as it walks. In the evening, it takes great delight in popping out of rivers and startling people.
