Mewtump have been spotted comforting Phantump in dark forests, dancing and playing with them until they have calmed down. Parents with lost children will leave offerings on forest floors in hopes that a Mewtump will guide their child back home.
These Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died in the forest. A Mewtump is said to possess the genes of all Pokémon.
