Mewtar live in underground crystal caves, feeding on crystals to reinforce their shells. If they feel their armor is still too soft to withstand a predator, they transform into stronger Pokémon or mimic ordinary rocks to escape detection.
A Mewtar creates a gas inside its body that it ejects under compression to propel itself like a jet. A Mewtar is said to possess the genes of all Pokémon.
