Monbre were often used in Kantonian tea ceremonies to boil water. This practice is still performed today, but nowadays Monbre purposefully increases flame size to entertain patrons.
In the evening, it takes great delight in popping out of rivers and startling people. To intimidate attackers, it stretches the fire on its tail to make itself appear bigger.
