Mudmeleon has a generally fun-loving disposition, but turns aggressive in the presence of another of its species. The two will immediately search for the nearest mudhole to duke it out and establish dominance.

Without pity, its sharp claws destroy foes. On land, it can powerfully lift large boulders by planting its four feet and heaving.
