Nidobat have special scent glands that determine their place in the hierarchy of groups of Zubat. They avoid conflict whenever they can and defer decisions to those who are higher up.
While living in pitch-black caverns, their eyes gradually grew shut and deprived them of vision. Its highly toxic barbs are thought to have developed as protection for this small-bodied Pokémon.
