Omarow primarily live within the open ocean, propelling themselves through the water with powerful flaps of their wings. When threatened by larger Pokémon, they swim urgently to the surface to fly away to a safe distance.

While in flight, Omarow attacks its opponents with precise blows from its very long beak. Its wings are composed of tentacles it can extend to anchor itself to surfaces or snatch its victims.

Its long neck and elongated beak are ideal for catching prey in soil or water. An Omarow uses its tentacles to capture its prey.
