Palophox is very protective of the sand castles on its body. If anyone dares to destroy its castles, Palophox's sand becomes scorching hot with anger. It's rare for the offenders to ever be seen again after facing Palophox's wrath.
It gazes into the flame at the tip of its branch to achieve a focused state, which allows it to see into the future. Buried beneath the castle are masses of dried-up bones from those whose vitality it has drained.
