Palocargo seek out old shells on the beach, using them as shelter to withdraw into when spooked. They are able to launch their shovels as projectile weapons, spearing them into their foes if they aren't left alone after hiding away.

The shell on its back is made of hardened magma. Buried beneath the castle are masses of dried-up bones from those whose vitality it has drained.
