Just like the rest of its disguise, the mushrooms on Pakyu are fake. It mimics the act of spewing spores into the air, though in reality it is merely flinging dirt and dust it has gathered up.
Pakyu's googly eyes often confuse predator and prey, distracting them enough for an attack. Pakyu capitalize on this confusion to squeeze their mushrooms, releasing a cloud of spores, stunning prey and concealing them from predators.
Its actual appearance is unknown. A Pakyu has parasitic tochukaso mushrooms growing on its back.
