It is assumed that the mushrooms infesting Pada affect its balance and cause it to be so erratic. Removing the fungi does restore some of its balance, but the mushrooms will always grow back quickly and return it to its default state.
It is distinguished by a pattern of spots that is always different. A Pada has parasitic tochukaso mushrooms growing on its back.
