Parabat uses its strong wings to cut grooves into cave ceilings to deposit its spores. These spores grow rapidly and can control other Pokémon that have prolonged contact with them.

Over the course of evolution, its hind legs turned into wings. Parabat are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients.
