Paraelgon mushrooms are tough enough to allow them to resist most physical blows. They seek out danger, allowing themselves to be struck and releasing clouds of spores every time they suffer a blow.

It hardly eats while it awaits evolution. Paraelgon are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients.
