It is believed each of Porytales's elegant tails contains a massive archive of corrupted data. Often, electronic devices brought close to their tails exhibit glitches, yet it remains unknown how this corruption is transmitted.

Porytales has nine unique personalities that it randomly switches between since it has nine distinct programs built into it. When light gleams onto its fur, its body appears to break off and float around it like some type of graphical glitch.

It has long been said that each of the nine tails embody an enchanted power. Additional software was installed to make it a better Pokémon.
