The Z-pattern on Porywrath's belly is caused by a severe overdevelopment of muscles, causing its belly pattern to unnaturally change. Although it knows most styles of swimming, it seemingly can only flail its arms and feet around while in the water.

Its highly developed muscles never grow fatigued, however much it exercises. Additional software was installed to make it a better Pokémon.
