To spin a web, Porydos has to first convert binary data into silk. This silk is spun into webs that can catch rocks without tearing, giving Porydos a resilient net to toss over prey.
It uses the two mandible-like spikes on its body to grab, pierce, and drain its prey of fluids and energy. The blue spike on its head was once assumed to be a mouth yet is actually a venomous spike that delivers a deadly neurotoxin.
Its feet are tipped with tiny hooked claws that enable it to scuttle on ceilings and vertical walls. It was created by humans using the power of science.
