Qwilax often dunk their entire heads into water and suck it up until their bellies slightly expand. They can shoot this water as precise jets to defend themselves or to shoot down prey and hanging fruits or berries.

It wolfs down its weight in food once a day, swallowing food whole with almost no chewing. A Qwilax uses the pressure of water it swallows to shoot toxic quills all at once from all over its body.
