To defend itself, it inhales enough water to expand like a balloon and veils itself in electricity. It remains rather light when expanded, so it plants its tail into the ground and swings itself around at its foe.

If it stores too much electricity, its behavior turns aggressive. A Qwilchu uses the pressure of water it swallows to shoot toxic quills all at once from all over its body.
